Supporting people with learning disabilities
Peter Turrall MBE
Grapevine’s President, Peter Turrall MBE has been involved in voluntary charity work for more than 40 years. He set up and chaired the local charity CHARMS, a therapy centre for the relief of Multiple Sclerosis; which after 25 years is still in operation.
He was for many years, Chairman and President of Chelmsford Mencap before joining Grapevine Essex in 2012.
“Grapevine Essex is a charity which I am delighted to be a member of. It is extremely well run by a small but dedicated group, offering many social and leisure activities for people with learning disabilities.”
Peter is married to Jean and lives in the Chelmsford area. He has a grown up son and daughter and two grandchildren.
Peter was for many years, a Senior Executive at Marconi, Chelmsford and enjoys several sporting activities, including golf, bowls and dog walking.
